A story about a boy who did not have an easy start in life. He never had a home and never knew loving relationships. He was used to adults passing him around like a hot potato. Until one day he meets a true friend in a children's home. They become inseparable, and when they grow up, they become independent and find a place to live together and jobs where they are happy. Then tragedy strikes and Vítko's world collapses when his friend and only family tragically dies in a car accident. He is back where he started as a child. He has to start from scratch. Will he succumb to his destructive behavior, or will he finally stand on his own two feet?
